Brother unveils 'First Channel Incentive Program' in UAE during Dealers' Meet

Brother Gulf, the Middle East subsidiary of Brother Japan, a global leader in the development and manufacturing of printing, communication and digital imaging products for homes and offices, has unveiled its 'First Channel Incentive Program' for the UAE, which aims to ensure availability of Brother equipment and consumables across the local channel. The initiative is aimed at leveraging the projected uptrend in the UAE's colour laser multi-function printer market, which is expected to grow 27 per cent by 2011 – the highest growth rate forecasted for the region according to latest data from IDC. The unveiling was held during the company's recently concluded Dealers' Meet at the Atlantis Hotel in Dubai. The 'First Channel Incentive Program' kicked off on October 01, 2010 and will run until March 31, 2011, and will involve a target-based incentive plan for local partners, which can help Brother increase sales, strengthen its install base, and gain a bigger share of the market. In addition to plans to extend the reach of Brother products in the country, the manufacturer also shared its channel strategy for 2010-2011 with the over 125 UAE-based dealers who attended the event, including Jumbo Electronics and Almoe Digital Solutions. "Sharing our vision for Brother's growth and our plans for the UAE market amidst the excellent growth prospects is part of our philosophy of transparency, which we extend to all our channel partners, and is a way for us to include them in the decision-making process that shapes the future of our business," said Shinji Tada, Managing Director, Brother Gulf. "The dealer incentive program we have launched, which was attended by every single one of our partners, was just the first step towards developing a closer relationship with them." Furthermore, the best performing UAE dealers were honoured during the event, including Proton General Trading (Best Equipment Channel Sales), Jazeerat Al Kanz (Best Consumables Channel Sales), Gulf Islands General Trading (Best VAR), HBC Printer Supplies (Best New Entry Dealer), and Seven Star Stationery (Best P-Touch Channel Sales). The manufacturer also awarded its top power retailers in the country – Carrefour (Best Facsimile Retailer), Sharaf DG (Best Printer and MFC Retailer), E-max (Best Product Display and Branding, and LuLu (Best Retailer). Attendees of the event were able to take advantage of pallet offers comprising of Mono Laser, Colour LED, Colour Laser, A3 and A4 Inkjet MFCs and P-Touch Labelling machines at a very special price. "Every partner expressed their appreciation of the incentive program we have unveiled, which further boosts our expectations that this initiative will gain massive success among our partners and result in the achievement of targets we have set. We are also very pleased with their support for the new products, which we plan to launch at the upcoming GITEX, including the new series of Wireless Inkjet MFCs," concluded Tada.
